Three SA cities named for first Twenty20 world cup

Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban will be the three host cities for the inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Cup to be staged in South Africa in September 2007, Cricket South Africa has announced. "These are world class venues for what is going to be a world class event," tournament director Steve Elworthy said in a statement.
The venues were chosen by the tournament policy committee, which met last week and based their decision on each stadium's hospitality and accessibility, equipment, drainage and floodlights, pitch, crowd attendance and media facilities.
The Wanderers in Johannesburg, Newlands in Cape Town and Kingsmead in Durban will be the three stadiums used.
The format, fixtures and the venue for the final have yet to be decided.
